According to Coco Chanel, a girl should be two things – classy and fabulous. Classiness is innate and impossible to fake but fabulousness, however, is seasonal and entirely dependent on your ability to rock the latest fashion trends. Understanding what`s hot and what`s not can be very difficult given that there are a multitude of media outlets offering all sorts of advice regarding this very topic. So, in order to combat this difficulty, we have put together a handy little list outlining the hottest trends of summer.
Electric `brights` are key to this season`s wardrobe. Teamed up with beige basics or even bolder contrasting pieces, these will see you easily from the office to the dance floor and ensure you make an impact wherever you go.
For those who want to make a statement without standing out quite so much from the crowd, a top trend is a retro throwback to the fifties. Cinched waste lines and perfect silhouettes are where it`s at a la Grace Kelly and perfect little day dresses are the perfect way to flaunt the fifties look. For those on a bit of a budget, the must have accessories are bright, tight belts and gloves that can help transform wardrobe favourites into body hugging, fifties glamour pieces.
The fifties are not the only revival seen on the catwalks this year as design turns back time and looks to the seventies for inspiration. Cast your mind`s-eye away from grubby bell-bottoms, however, as this year, it`s all about the `Haute Hippy`. Chic little flowy tops and skirts allow for femininity while chunky platform shoes and sandals ensure your feet are firmly on the ground as you rock the chic hippy look.
In direct contrast to the girliness of the fifties and seventies looks this summer, androgyny is back and manly outfits are once again all the rage. Pairing a very masculine piece with more feminine pieces will cement both looks and is easily achieved with a tailored waistcoat atop a skirt and blouse. Equally, all of these looks can be `toughened up` with the addition of well-fitting biker or military-type jackets from seasons past that will make the transition from day to night, seamless.
No matter which look you`re going for, with this Groupon deal, it is even easier to get your hands on all of this summer`s hot trends. Come on, get creative and let your fabulousness shine forth.

It appears that everyone is going a little nuts for the designer brand Belstaff all of a sudden, well here in the UK anyway.. I thought I would take the opportunity to have a look into the designer brand clothing line to see what all the fuss was about. Firstly, like most well known brands, they are on facebook, Belstaff facebook group. With over 5,500 fans, that pretty much tells me, they aren’t as big as Lyle and Scott, but perhaps a growing brand that has the potential to be in the same league.
I checked out Mainline Menswear, the mother of all designer clothing sites to find they had 5 jackets for sale, prices in sterling range from £350 to £415.. Wow!! Is this not a little excessive for a jacket I thought? Yes if you don’t know Belstaff, but no if you do. These jackets are lightly waxed with quality details signed off with their Belstaff logo badge.. Ok, so who wears Belstaff Jackets then? Have a snoot around the internet this afternoon, I have found that the following celebrities have been snapped wearing Belsfaff Jackets.. The above pics are the proof..

Outdoor Clothing for Women

No longer subjected to societal constraints, women now participate in as many outdoor and extreme sports as men do. Everything from surfing, to sailing, skateboarding, to mountain biking, mountain climbing to hiking, camping to rambling, and everything in between! Woman have the confidence, the freedom, the finance and (probably due to a combination to women having money and wanting to participate) access to suitable equipment, enabling them to participate in outdoor activities.
When you are going to participate in an outdoor activity, whether that be an extreme sport or a spot of light hiking, it is extremely important to have the correct outdoor clothing, gear and accessories. Having the correct equipment will not only improve your safety margins, but should also enable you to perform to the best of your abilities. You should ensure that at all times your clothing and equipment fit you properly and are in good working order. Women`s outdoor clothing, gear and accessories can be found from many good outlets, which specialise in outdoor equipment.
The big trusted brands, such as Helly Hansen, Volcom, The North face, and Marmot, (to mention but a few) all manufacture outdoor clothing lines for both men and women. The women`s ranges have been specifically designed, incorporating the latest design technology, to ensure that the clothing and equipment responds to a woman`s body. Base layers have been tailored to wick sweat away from areas need it, whilst the clothing remains lightweight and breathable.
When you are participating in outdoor activities you should ensure that your body is supported and insulated correctly. For example, women will need to invest in a good sports bra. Sports bras are imperative for providing support, ensuring you avoid strains (and avoid sagging). Merrell, for example, do a range of tank tops, designed specifically for outdoor activities, that have sports bras built in to them. This allows freedom of movement, provides an all important base layer, and also provides you with a comfortable fashionable item of clothing.
Base layers and underwear are an essential building block of body responsive women`s outdoor clothing. In addition to Sports Bras, women should also consider `Active Briefs`, provided by companies such as Patagonia, these briefs will wick sweat away from your body, are seamless, breathable and can help you avoid chaffing.
In addition to base layers, outdoor women`s clothing should include: a breathable all weather jacket, well fitted walking or hiking boots/shoes and obviously, specific equipment relevant to the outdoor sport that you are participating in, i.e., wetsuit, skate shoes, cycling shorts, etc.
Indeed, as well as manufacturing clothing specifically designed for outdoor activities and sports, companies such as Volcom, embrace their extreme sports ethos, and produce clothing lines that will keep you looking good, whether you are participating in a sport, or simply chilling out with your mates. This mish mash of `urban chic meets extreme sports` results in a clothing line that exudes coolness, uniqueness and street style.
