With the media hyping so much on the latest trends in the fashion industry, even middle class people desire to own such fashion clothing. Fashion shows showcase such latest trends and fashion styles. Everyone wants to own at least one designer piece, whatever the cost.
One such never dying fashion statement is the “Leather Coat” or “Leather Coat”. It is a must have in a man’s wardrobe. It can be combined with either a formal or a casual pair of clothing. It is an all round garment. It can boast of being better than fur and less expensive than diamonds.
Leather comes in different colors, finishes and styles. It has a long romantic story by itself. Leather coats are always in trend. They are multipurpose garments. One would have to shell quite a lot of money to own a designer leather jacket. It is an investment although. Leather is long-lasting and durable. They do not lose shape, if cared for properly.
Try and opt for basic colors like black, blue and beige. There are other colors like green, red and deep purples. Such colors cannot match every outfit. Once you own a leather jacket, you also need to ensure that you take good care of it. Store it in a dry place, free of moisture and humidity. Do not place it below direct sunlight. The color would become duller. When hanging them, ensure that you have emptied the pockets of your jacket. Ensure that you choose a sturdy hanger to hang your jacket. Ensure that you have cleaned the stains, if any from the jacket, or else it would be difficult to get rid of these stains.
Wipe off spills immediately so that it does not leave a stain on your jacket. Leather coats have become suppler and softer unlike the leather coats used in the olden days. It also has a superb sheen and patina to it.
How to maintain your leather jacket?
Ensure that you do not clean your jacket with a cleaner. If you use a normal cleaner, you would find that your jacket has lost its color and sheen. Ensure that you get them cleaned from a professional cleaner or a drycleaner. In case you need to mend your jacket, get it done by a professional.
Opt for leather cleaner or a leather conditioner to restore about your jacket’s sheen. Try and store away from dust. Use of a terry towel to dust suede jacket will ensure its patina. Sponge dries your jackets naturally. Avoid spraying your jackets with deos and perfumes. Try not to stick adhesive bands or badges on your garments.
Avoid oil dripping, even by mistake on your precious leather jacket.
Try using the leather cleaner on a small portion of your jacket, to ensure if it is of good quality.
